This weekend we decided to go see the holy city of Pushkar; and we made a pit stop in Ajmer on the way. The bazaar was wild and it was straight up the most fun I’ve had in India yet.
This guy had a live baby cobra in a ziplock bag that he wanted to sell me for 100 rupees(NZD $2.60); and I was tempted; but I decided I should shop around more before committing to one specific brand of serpent.
Sari shops, almond cookies, view of the city, flowers for mosque offerings, woman stringing marigolds in the marketplace.
Puppy!!!
Ajmer the land of forts and palaces truly reflects the age old culture of royal kings and queens of India. Popularly known as the princely state of India, the rich cultural heritage of Ajmer attracts huge tourists every year. Majestic residential complexes coming up in the state have given a boost to the already sprawling sector of real estate in Ajmer.
